The MES steady on a Myford Super 7.

The MES steady is a large capacity four point steady. Many commercially available steadies supplied with lathes are traditionally small capacity three point models which limits their use to small diameter work.

The MES steady offers the model engineer the ability to machine long work securely using four point contact and also enables larger work to be supported for machining operations, for example facing boiler barrels.

The kit is simple to machine and build, the majority of machining being straight forward. All screws and dowel pins are supplied together with a set of dimensioned drawings and working instructions.
