Introduction to M. E. S.

Model Engineering Services is a well established company providing a range of machine tools and accessories for the model engineer.  It is run by model engineers for model engineers.

Our products are designed specifically with the model engineer in mind although of course they have applications for other types of engineering duties.  Indeed many of our products can be found in Schools, Colleges and Training establishments where they are used both as projects or as part of their standard equipment.

The products are supplied in kit form with all major machining work that the home constructor would find difficult already done. The kits are complete with high grade cast iron and bronze castings, bearings, seals, screws, bar stock materials, knobs etc.  needed to complete the project.  Each kit comes with a build manual and a full set of engineering drawings.

Most model engineers  in their home workshop will have a 3.1/2" lathe and drilling machine as part of their standard workshop equipment. All our kits can be machined using these machines plus basic hand tools. Any operation that cannot be completed with this level of equipment will already have been done.

As well as providing an additional resource in the workshop, the kits are a project in themselves with owners gaining satisfaction in building and operating their own machines and tools.  

A full back up service is provided for advice, spares and consumable items.
